I'm a 29 year old mother of two little girls who drive me delightfully nutty. For Christmas 2007, my two year old daughter only wanted a stuffed purple pony. I scoured the toy stores, checked eBay, craigslist, online, offline, nothing. Despite my alternate suggestions, a purple pony was the only thing that Santa could bring to make her heart sing. I'd have to make one.

And so my first plushie was born. Since then, I've become an addict and am cranking out all kinds of animals. My daughter (now four) tells me what kind of animal she'd like to see when she goes down for nap and by the time she wakes up, I try to have it ready.

I'm a work from home mother of two little girls and avid blogger. Until I discovered plushies, I spent most of my time doing humor writing. But my daughters are much happier now that I'm spending more of the day at the sewing machine instead of the computer. I try to make all my Friends up to their standards. It's a lot harder having a three year old as your quality control than you'd think!

My Flaky Friends are meant to make people smile. I'm a big "touch" person so all my materials are the most delightfully soft and cuddly as possible. I don't work from patterns and am figuring this all out as I go based on doodles of ideas in my sketchbook.

Between my writing and my sewing, I hope to make people smile every day. I'm cheesy like that.
