Many years ago, newly married, two kids, not much money, and a sister-in-law that took birthday gifts and Christmas gifts back for the cash, I started looking for ways and ideas to be able to make gift giving easier. I had bought my own sewing machine that Summer of 1997, as my sister wanted me to make her wedding veil. So at the encouragement of my two young children I sewed 40 pairs of mittens for my family and my husband's family. Killed my poor sewing machine too :) Now a few sewing machines later, a different husband (no I didn't divorce him because of his sister), some knowledge and a few more ideas I have created Brandi's Homemade Helpers, as my second supportive husband has so named my goodies.
