Hello! My name is Susan Edwards but most people just call me Sue or Sueness. Thank you so much for visiting my shop and taking the time to read my profile.

I am a student, bartender, performer, hoop dancer, hoop maker, fire dancer, pole ninja, soon to be costume maker, bookworm, cat lover, nature love, and cure fan.

I began my love affair with hooping 7 years ago at Earthdance. A few months ago, I finally began to make my own hoops.

First I just planned on making myself a few, and maybe giving them out as gifts. Soon friends were requesting hoops, then friends of friends, and so on. Now I'm hooked. I enjoy making the hoops almost as much as I enjoy actually hooping!

I’d like my hoops to have a bit more of an edge. In the hoop world I've noticed a lot of fluff and sparkle and not much attitude and sass. Although I make and sell many of these Pixie like hoops, my true motivation lies in creating what I like to call my “rockstar” hoops. I am experimenting with different materials and coming up with new patterns and designs. Hoops that cater to those of us that cannot be defined, but if we had too would fall under the category of goth, punk-rock, cyber, rock-a-billy, retro etc… Hoops made with wild animal prints, skulls, flames, polka-dots, plaid, checkers, camo, etc…

The possibilities are endless.

I’d also like to create theme hoops, hoops with meaning. Hoops influenced by something specific. For example:

A favorite song: “Edge of the Deep Green Sea” One of my fave Cure songs.
A favorite movie: Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Griffindor colored hoops for Harry Potter.
A favorite food: Banana split, chocolate cherry chunk ice cream.
Planets: Mars-Varying swirls of bright/bold oranges and reds.
Feelings: Rage-Much like the Mars hoop. Peaceful-Cloud/sky colors. Melancholy-Soft muted blues and greys.
Astrological signs: Associated sign colors tyed into the 4 elements.
