Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by my new Etsy shop.

~ My name is Jana and I dabble in lots of arts and crafts from pot painting to canvas collage but my very favorite is card making. I love the feel of natural handmade cotton paper and then arranging elements through digital collage and found objects, gems and pieces of ephemera to create a pleasing or interesting composition.

~ I am a transplanted Pennsylvanian having been a life-long Marylander.

~ My business, Serendipity Gift Boutique LLC, is a powerseller on eBay and I have an online gift boutique that is flourishing selling my cards along with a variety of gifts and collectibles including other handmade gifty items from various artisans.

~ I am excited to be part of the Etsy community and look forward to meeting great folks here!

*** About JoAnna Cool Carman Designs - When I thought about a name for my design studio I wanted to honor my mother, JoAnn, who passed away in 2006. She was always my biggest fan and supported everything I did. For years Mother researched our family history and was determined to find the connection between her great grandmother, Joanna Cool Carman and our immigrant ancestor, John Carman, who came to this country shortly after the Mayflower. At a certain point she enlisted my help and when I finally found the connection (with extreme gratitude to cousin George Carman), I am not sure Mother fully grasped it since she was so ill. Then, when I had the chance to name my design studio I decided on JoAnna (the spelling is a combo of Mother's name and mine) Cool Carman. I hope Joanna and JoAnn are looking down and are proud of how I used their names and I hope that you will feel the love I put into my creations.
