Thank you for looking at the crazy for ruthie shop.

I'm Ruth and everything in the shop is handmade by me or my dad. We have both been making jewellery for the past 10 years and love creating beautiful, wearable items that hopefully give people great pleasure to wear. Our creations are inspired by the fabulous shapes and colours in the towns and gorgeous countryside of the west coast of Scotland. These contrasting inspirations result in our collections of elegant, wearable jewellery and fun frivolous accessories.

We use high quality materials, working in sterling silver (925) and 9ct gold (375). We buy our freshwater pearls and gemstones from reputable stone dealers.

The pieces in the shop are all made with great care and attention to detail. Those shown in the photographs are ready to be shipped.

We both enjoy working to commission so if you would like to have something made to order then please just get in touch. This could be as little as having something in the shop made in a different metal or with a different colour of gemstone. Alternatively, we would be happy to create something entirely unique for you, be it for a special occasion, to mark a special event, or just as a treat.

I ship orders three times a week and will always let you know when an order has been dispatched, both by email and marking your order as “shipped”.

I use 1st class post with proof of postage within the UK and Airmail with proof of postage to everywhere else. If you would like your package sent Special or Recorded Delivery, or Insured then please let me know and I will issue an additional invoice to cover the extra postage costs. Whilst insurance is optional, I do recommend it as I am not responsible items lost or damaged in the post. Buyers outside the UK are responsible for any custom duties incurred.

I cannot accept returns unless the item is faulty. If this is the case, my policy is to repair the piece and pay for the return postage. Shipping fees are non-refundable.

Payments are handled securely through Paypal, cheques are also accepted. In either case orders are shipped within 3 days of funds clearing, but next day where possible.
