Bio

Hi, my name is Diane Paul. I am a mainly self-taught artist born in South Africa to Scottish parents, raised in Scotland from the age of 5 and now living in the US. My art studio is named after the 2 noble stone eagles that stand guard outside the rural Missouri home I share with my husband and our cat, Herb (who came with me from Scotland in 2002).

I work mainly in watercolor but also enjoy acrylics, pastels, colored & graphite pencil as well as pen & ink. My favorite subjects are birds, cats and flowers but anything that walks, crawls, flies or grows may find itself in one of my paintings!

My style is usually bright and vibrant with a fair amount of attention to detail. I am often told that my art makes people feel happy and so if my paintings make you smile then I will consider my job done!
