i am a mama, a wife, and one crafty gal.

burdy fly away spawned out of my need for a creative outlet while staying home and raising my two amazing boys. I have always been crafty and have adapted what I love into what I can do while chasing two little men.

All childrens onesies and tees are 100% cotton, sweat shop free and I get as much in organic cotton as I can.

Any childrens style you like can be made in the size you need.

About the Process:
I hand dye in small batches to get some great colors, which also adds to the uniqueness of each piece, no two will ever be the same.

I use a polyester ecospun felt, made of 100% recycled post-consumer plastic bottles (how cool is that) for my appliques and basically draw on the shirts with my sewing machine, I use a contrasting embroidery thread to add great detail.

All screenprinting is hand done and all ideas come from my crafty hands and head to yours, no assembly line in this house, each one is a piece of art.... It feels good to make a piece of clothing as unique as the little ones that will wear it... check us out at burdyflyaway.blogspot.com...

Care Instructions.. .
Everything is machine washable.

The dye on all shirts has been set and pre-washed, so no need to worry about color bleeding, like any clothing just wash with like colors.

The felt will not bleed any color. It may pill up slightly, if you are picky about it you can wash items inside out, this will help avoid pilling, also avoid washing with linty things like towels, or sweatshirts. This will keep the lovely designs looking lovely for years to come!
