Hi, my name is Yin and I created this shop as I really looooove getting creative with vintage comics and fun food like popcorn! The more spicy the better!

I'm originally from Singapore and I've worked as a creative in advertising and marketing. English is my first language. I've travelled to many places before settling down presently in New Jersey, US with my hubby. New York City is now just an hour away. Joy. :)

I am partly ethnic Chinese, born and raised in Singapore. My paternal grandfather was from Guangdong, China. Collage is part of my cultural heritage, it was invented at the same time as paper in China around 200 BC. Collage allows me to recycle paper and other materials into my designs and I believe you support eco-friendly trade as I do!

I confess I spend more time in my other shop, which keeps me busy with... weddings!

My family is in Singapore, they are eco-friendly and creative too. My mother always encouraged us to take a second look at things to see how they could be given new life again. She handmakes jade necklaces and she has handed down rare Peranakan, Chinese and Southeast Asian recipes; a sister runs a cooking school in St Tropez, France; and a brother who is a botanist, sketches and paints as he saves eco niches from environmental destruction. We're very proud of what he has achieved with Chek Jawa.
