I am Scott Pincus, Lead Designer, and Owner of my small hand crafting works. Thanks for stopping in.


Artist Statement:

Hi Folks

I am a Metal Art Jeweler, sculptor if you will:

Almost all my work is a one of a kind, hand crafted from scratch. Including making my sterling from ingots I cast myself.

For many years I owned a one hour photo shop and gallery right at the entrance to Zion National Park, Utah. I noticed over time that my business was taking a turn for the worse as folks started to move away from film, and choosing digital formats instead.

So one day a while ago now, I set up a jewelers workbench right in the middle of my shop and started teaching myself silver smithing.

Luckily, for me, there was a very generous Art Jeweler in town that took me under her wings. I found a mentor. My mentor has been in the Art Jewelry business for over 30 years. I do not know where I would be now if it was not for her encouragement, graciousness of spirit, and her willingness to share her hard learned knowledge with me.

I made lots of mistakes at first, but I learned fast. She taught me about fair market pricing, criticized my work, and offered gracious suggestions on improvements and techniques. Apparently I taught her a few good tricks along the way also.

Overtime sales of my jewelry, confirmed to me that I was somehow accomplishing a dream-come-true. I had found success and an ability to express my vision in art, and my talent was appreciated.

I am here now on Etsy. I am new here, but tried and proven as an artist. I will be here for as long as I can continue to create wonderful works of art.

I think of myself as a modern day shaman, a teacher at heart, an artist, and a sculptor. My work is often inspired from the very old of Man. My work is dominated by the metaphor and the mystic.

There is a little bit of magic in all my work.

I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating things of beauty to share with you.
