Welcome to Farmstead Organics!
We are a small farmstead business specializing in products made with organic herbs and fresh goats' milk.
We harvest many of our own herbs and milk our goats by hand! We believe in using only the most natural ingredients possible to create our special formulas.

**We abstain from the use of parabens and other dangerous synthetic ingredients in our line of skin care products. We do on a rare occasion use high quality fragrant oils to obtain certain aromas, but most often you will find that we use only natural essential oils. Our products are naturally preserved to give you around a six month shelf life, more if refrigerated. We most commonly use organic black willowbark, neem, rosemary oleoresin, grapefruit seed extract and phenoxyethanol (a very safe organic compound), to preserve our products.**

**Our goat milk soaps are made with pure and natural ingredients. Many "glycerine" soaps on the market are of the "melt and pour" variety and contain harmful ingredients to promote lather. These ingredients are known irritants. Stay away from them! A common one found in soap is sodium lauryl sulfate. Our soaps are made with saponifed oils, not with chemical lathering agents. Most of our soaps are made by hand from start to finish, even milking our own goats. However, some of our soaps are made with a pourable base. This base that I have found is made with the same oils that I use in my own soap formulas, but with a few additional ingredients. It is the only pourable soap base that I know of that is actually made with saponified oils. Don't be fooled by soaps that claim to be all natural or handmade! They could be just as harmful as the detergent soaps you can buy at the grocery store. Always check your ingredient labels! This is so important! Women and children are suffering from allergies, hormone imbalances, and a host of other health problems that have been directly linked to the harmful ingredients commonly found in personal care products. Educate yourself and purchase wisely! Just because something smells great and looks fun does not mean that it should be slathered on your body to be absorped into your skin! Pure, natural and environmentally friendly is much more beautiful than a jar of green foamy stuff that smells like bubblegum.**
