Bio

Out of our love of the rural south, it's simplicity, beauty, and the best cooking in the country, we created our unique company.

We are located in northeast Arkansas on a 75 acre working farm. We have horses and cattle. We raise our own chickens for eggs. We grow our own vegetables and blueberries. We are strong supporters of all local Farmer's Markets and encourage everyone to buy locally from their farmers.

We are members of Slow Food USA(www.slowfood.org) which emphasizes the lifestyle we adhere to. We believe in growing and producing your own food and the importance of the family table. We are raising our family on the farm, and maintain that it is in working the land, while living and eating together, that strong family units are maintained. While this is not always possible for today's families, we delight in being able to bring some of the traditional foods from the south to your home.

There's no greater experience than fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, fresh green beans and okra, a glass of sweet tea, and a slice of banana bread for dessert-while sharing the joys and challenges of the day with family and friends.

We believe that the happiest people are those who balance work, rest, and play-supported by healthy eating. We know that when we eat locally grown and raised food without chemicals, we can enjoy occasional sweet treats without fear. A balanced life is what we all desire.

We'd love to have you join us around our family table, but if that's not possible, we'd like to bring a little rural south to your table.

We have been selling exclusively in boutiques and restaurants as well as creating custom baskets and buckets for individuals and companies.

Our gourmet foods stand alone without the whimsical packaging. We will be happy to package in plain cellophane and different colored ribbon if your recipient or event does not call for the "Gravel Road" theme. We frequently sell our nuts, breads, and fudges for a wide variety of functions and events. Just let us know what you need and we will do our best to accomodate your request.

We commit to delivering food as fresh as possible, so we will prepare and ship as soon as we receive payment.

We automatically ship USPS priority mail on all items except large gift buckets/baskets. We will figure best rate for you and email you the shipping charges.

If you are in the Jonesboro area, we will be happy to save you the shipping charges. You can pick up your order or we can deliver to a general location in town. Feel free to email us if you are in the area and come visit our farm.
