Welcome to my new shop! You may be familiar with my work from my other shop here on Etsy - M. Young Studios. While I love creating the figural and symbolist pieces you will find there, one of my deepest passions has always been creating art for and about the animal kingdom. It was this ongoing love for the natural world that has led me to open this second shop.

Here at ArtisticAnimal you can find everything from dogs to giraffes, as well as my custom pet portraits. I have oodles of ideas for this new shop and will be adding products continually. I am also a proud member of Etsy for Animals/EFA (etsyforanimals.etsy.com) and Art for Critters/A4C (www.art4critters.com).

Starting in February, ten percent of my monthly sales from this shop will be donated to animal rescue and rehabilitation groups that have been approved by EFA(Etsy for Animals) and/or A4C (Art for Critters). Each month I’ll mention in my announcement which group/s I’ll be donating to. I’ll gladly provide proof of donation upon request.

A Bit About Me:

I’m a professional artist and illustrator based in lovely Portland, Oregon. Utilizing a variety of mediums, I explore various themes drawing from both ancient and modern cultures. An endless fascination with the interconnections between science, nature, myth and symbol provides me with endless ideas for my artworks.

I received my BFA in 1991 and have been fortunate to be able to work on projects ranging from costume and set design for the theater to My work has been collected throughout the United States as well as England, Ireland, Scotland, Norway and Denmark. My complete CV is available upon request.

POLICIES:

Shipping Within the US: Lighter pieces will be shipped via USPS First Class mail. Larger paintings and heavier works are shipped via USPS Priority mail. If you need to receive your purchase more quickly or would like to add insurance, just let me know and I will happily accommodate you.

International Shipping: I use USPS First Class International Mail, but I am happy to provide Global Priority and Express at an additional charge. Customers are responsible for all customs and/or duties that may be incurred. I love knowing that my pieces have traveled the world, so if you don’t see your country listed, just let me know and I will research the cost for you.

Please note that on rare occasions the USPS shipping calculator has listed a higher amount than the actual shipping. In this case, I will issue an immediate refund for the difference via PayPal.

Purchases are shipped out within 24 hours, Monday through Friday.


Custom Orders: Once you've purchased your piece, I will contact you with my email where you can send me images of your friend. Please include one showing the position you would like. Additional photos are welcome, as they will help me to get a feel for the personality of your pet.

Your original piece will be finished within one week. Once it is completed, I will send you a jpeg to make sure that it is 100% to your satisfaction. Once you've approved the image, I will varnish your painting and it will be lovingly wrapped and shipped to you via USPS Priority mail.

Refunds & Exchanges: I do my utmost to ensure that you are happy with your purchase. If for any reason you should have a concern, please contact me as soon as possible and I will work with you to find an acceptable resolution.
