Bio

I have been a beachcomber as far back as I can remember, always competing with my brother and sister to see who could find the biggest agate. I love being at the beach, especially in the winter. I love that it makes me feel alive, yet quite small and insignificant in the grand scheme of this thing we call life. I love to wake up there, slip on my jeans and sweatshirt and see what gifts the sea has brought me today.

It wasn't until about nine years ago, when my husband bought me a rock tumbler, that I started making jewelry with rocks. I had tumbled so many and it didn't seem right that they were just sitting there in a box doing nothing. So, on my next birthday I asked for a drill press and thus the pendants, and later the beads, were born. Honestly the bead making started quite simply because I could not find any wood beads to buy that I liked, or that had large enough holes to string leather through.
