Just a single mama who loves art!

Art has always been a big part of my life, even when I was a little girl. My mom is an artist herself, and always had tons of fun projects for us to do. One of my favorites was coloring on huge sheets of white paper, holding the crayons with our toes! Now that I am a mother myself, it always brings a smile to my face to see my three kids enjoying themselves with paint, glitter and glue!

Making beautiful things is theraputic for me. Although I have always been crafty, the sudden and abrupt end of my marriage while pregnant generated a lot of feelings that were best expressed through art. Plus, how could you not start to feel better when you are surrounded by the bright colors of funky fabric, the shine of a spool of copper wire, the dazzling brilliance of glitter? Works like a charm, every time! I try to do some form of art every day. Whether it's sewing a fun zippered bag, or coloring in a dinosaur coloring book with my son, it's good to keep those creativie juices flowing!
