Bio
I have been painting for many, many years off and on. Off when I had children and family and on as they grew.
Early American style, taught by a wonderful member of the Early American Decorators' Society, gave me a solid base from which to grow. All this was with oils.
When acrylics became available I switched to them as they were fast drying and I could produce more in the marketplace which I had joined.
When I lived in Lancaster, PA my first really selling days were there in two large and very popular farm markets with the Amish. Later I opened one shop and if I got anything from that it was experience. The second shop was in Lititz, PA. I hadn't learned that location is the major key to being successful.
From there I moved to the then new Artworks a four story art and craft gallery converted from a shoe factory. This was successful and a grand enterprise in a well known tourist area.
Along the way I took lessons in watercolor and that has become my favorite, if any nedium is. And a challenge, which I have enjoyed!
