Chauncey P. Graham is a line of accessories and recycled paper goods that I began out of a desire to create beautiful things.

Beauty is found in unexpected places; in the discarded, the ordinary and the fragmented. It is tucked underneath the extravagant and ornate, and sprawled on a blank canvas.

This is the beauty that inspires me. I have always loved the potential found in these "nothings." They are detached from pressures and standards, and come without instructions. My imagination can run along their limitlessness and create their own worlds. I find comfort in rejected treasures.

Thus, I am often playing with fabric scraps instead of the fabric, or a ripped page instead of a whole book. Rather than using the whole, I construct an entirely new whole from the parts themselves.

Chauncey P. Graham products magnify the beauty found in these fragmented forms, from words in an old book to a single color of yarn. They are simple statements of the hushed beauty discovered in things we too often overlook.
