Bio

Originally I grew up in Pennsylvania, where I began to collect the colorful glass that washed up onto the rocky pebbles of Lake Erie. This Great Lake is famous for its rich history and choppy shores where shipwrecks were common. Now, the definition of 'trash to treasure'.
I have since lived in the Carolinas for almost 20 years and my love for beach glass continues as I search up and down the Atlantic Coast, in lakes and even rivers. My family resides in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, a small fishing village on the coast just between Myrtle Beach and Charleston.
The history of sea glass has also become part of my passion. Up until the mid 1900's, the ocean and lakes were receptacles for broken glass. The glass does not travel out to the middle of the ocean, so beaches, secret coves and rocky tide lines have become a treasure trove of archaeological finds. Some pieces can originate from the 1800's, such as old bottle stoppers, apothecary jars and pottery.
