Our hoops, as well as other adult, professional grade hoops, surpass the quality and usability of toy hoops found in toy and department stores. They are larger in circumference, heavier much easier to keep going and made to grip the body unlike toy hoops. The average toy hoop is about 30" in diameter, whereas the average adult hoop is 38" in diameter.
We offer a wide array of hoop styles, including fitness hoops, dance hoops and energy hoops. Hooping is a total body workout that works the heart, tones muscles and invigorates the soul.
Our goal is to help spread the zen and excitement of hooping and hoopdance while reconnecting with your inner child and enveloping your soul. We are currently in the process of developing classes and workshops in the local Michiana area where people of all ages, fitness levels and sizes can participate!
HoopElements hoops are larger and heavier than standard toy hoops, enabling the user to keep it going, build endurance, and get an excellent workout that burns up to 600 calories an hour! Be sure to check out our hoop store for more information and available styles.
I recently made a custom hoop for a woman who was unable to hoop with a more standard size hoop who was able to enjoy the bliss once she received her new custom-size hoop! If you'd like a custom sized hoop, email me.
Choosing the right hoop for you includes several factors: hooping level, intended use, and your height/weight. For beginners, larger heavier hoops are best since they do not require as much effort to keep going and do not revolve around your body as fast. Seasoned hoopers can use a smaller, lighter hoop and often prefer them since they move faster and they can really get their groove on! As hoopers get better, often, they will move to a smaller, lighter hoop as well. For most, it's common to find several hoops in a hooper's abode. :)
Other factors to consider are height and weight. If you are short (like me), and plan to participate in vertical hooping, you will want to be sure you will be able to do so without your hoop hitting the floor. Also, if you are a curvier girl (also like me), you will want a larger hoop so it will be easier to keep going until you are ready to move to a smaller hoop.
