Bio

I am a graphic designer from Lubbock, Texas. I am a recent graduate from Texas Tech University with a BFA in Communication Design. I think the design program (and art program in general) conditioned me to always be creating something, anything.

While in school, I worked for a year at a little shop called Hodgepodge Design, where I designed, printed and assembled wedding invitations, graduation and baby announcements, shower invitations and any other type of stationery you could possibly imagine. I now have a full time position at Hartsfield Design, but I still enjoy creating anything that has to do with paper!

Things I love that inspire me daily: anything avocado green, plum purple or eggshell blue. warm spring days. my dog Scottie. vintage clothing (especially coats and jackets). the smell of a freshly printed magazine. birds. tomato basil soup. books. blueprint magazine (which is sadly no longer with us). a good cup of coffee in the morning. thrift stores and the amazing things i find. other creative people.

Things I like to play around with: beautiful paper. leather. vintage or unusual fabric. metal. found objects. ink. screenprinting. wood. paint. book binding.

Things that I want to learn more about: knitting. wet felting. shrinkydink (apparently I grew up in a cave). polymer clay. gardening. cooking. upholstery.
