Grown up in Vermont, lived and studied in New York, worked in Alaska and traveled throughout the US and Central American, in South America, Africa and Europe, I currently reside inside the mountains of Asheville – the "Paris of the south" – North Carolina with two dogs, two cats and my girlfriend.

I have sometimes been known to read and comment on literature, politics and philosophy, whitewater kayak, build houses and garden.
