About The Designer

My name is Joanne Jovich and as a young girl, my mother taught me to embroider. I think it started a creative spark that has never gone out. I graduated from embroidery to crewel to crochet and then to knitting. It was one day when I asked a friend if she would make me a bracelet if I furnished the beads which started it all!

I walked into the bead shop and felt like a “kid in a candy store”. I started picking out beads and was helped by a clerk. She asked if I wanted to put together my bracelet there and I said no-I didn’t know how. She said have a seat and I’ll show you and from then on I’ve never looked back. I love the beading world-the possibilities are endless.

All of my pieces are one-of-a-kind. I use only the best components to create my designs. You will notice that I use many handmade lampwork beads, sterling silver beads and chain, crystals and beautiful sterling silver clasps. Many of my necklaces are created on the kumihimo loom. These are ropes that are braided of seed beads and then I add a beautiful handmade lampwork focal bead to the center.

The designs, colors, and combinations of each and every piece of jewelry I have created are my true passion. They are handmade with love and a true dedication to beauty.
