* ABOUT METRO VINTAGE *

Welcome to my etsy store for vintage clothing and accessories. My other shop is DandelionGirl.etsy.com - open since June 2007 - where you'll find fun, vintage and kitschy items for your home and kitchen. Check out my feedback over there!

I strive to have a variety of vintage clothing and accessories here at Metro Vintage. You will probably notice however that I do love shoes and handbags! I have lots more of those yet to list!

I will eventually be listing more vintage clothing - those styles will run from cute casual wear to classic office wear and quite a few pieces with hippie and boho vibes.

You won't find models in this store, just my trusty dress form/mannequin! Have fun browsing through my little boutique!


* ABOUT VINTAGE *

Vintage items have had past lives and most are not going to be like new even though they have been pre-loved, there will be some signs of age and wear. I will try to point out any major flaws, take good photos and have good descriptions. I may occasionally miss something however.

My items are sourced from a variety of places and environments. I do clean my finds where possible and will note otherwise where it may be beyond my abilities. I will rarely use the words "Mint" or “Pristine” for my items - even if never used before, vintage items tend to have some wear from handling or even storage.

Shop inventory is stored in my smoke-free home which I share with my husband and our three cats.


* PACKING AND SHIPPING *

I use a mix of new and recycled packing materials – boxes, paper, bubble wrap, catalogs etc. I do make sure they are clean though! Shipments made almost daily except for weekends and holidays. Once payment is received and cleared, I can get your item (items!) sent on its way within 3 business days, if not less. Please note that eChecks will take at least 4 business days to clear before shipment is made. I am always happy to combine shipping.


* U.S. SHIPPING *

Shipments will be via USPS Priority Mail. Occasionally, I will ship via USPS First Class Mail. All U.S. items are sent with Delivery Confirmation.


* INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING *

Shipments will be via United States Postal Service Priority Mail International. I'm happy to ship to most countries but please note that you will be responsible for any duties and taxes your country imposes on items you purchase from me.

I put the actual cost of the item on the customs form and I do not inflate it by adding the cost of shipping. Please do not ask me to mark the "Gift" box on the form.


SHIPPING ESTIMATES FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING COSTS - PRIORITY MAIL VS. FIRST CLASS MAIL

** Please bear in mind that while First Class Mail International shipments cost less, they cannot be insured nor tracked and may take a while to get to you. I cannot be responsible for its loss or whereabouts once I have shipped the item using this slower and less expensive option. My proof of mailing will be my receipt from the postal service.

For example, if you see the cost of shipping the item to your country in the listing and look for that same cost in the chart below, it will show you how much the alternative shipping method would cost.
