About:

Erica Stankwytch Bailey is an artist and designer who focuses on form and texture in her wearable work. She earned her BFA in Metal Design from East Carolina University and has been a professional studio jeweler since her grdauation in 2001. Erica ispassionate and enthusiatic about metalsmithing. Her studio is currently based in Fayetteville, North Crarolina.


Artist Statement:
My work involves a variety of technical applications that allow me to create conceptual and aesthetic work/s. I inspect the world in great detail and have always collected shells, seed pods, stones and interesting organic elements. My studio often resembles a laboratory with trays of collected specimens lined in rows. Whether by fear and fascination, disgust or admiration I am constantly moved by life. From the miniscule piece of reef collected on the shore to the enormous sadness evoked by the many inequalities that exist I am constantly inspired. Lamination, chasing, metal weaving, fabrication, enameling, forging, raising, forming and cast metal parts are often combined in my work in an effort to create pieces that are tactile and invoke in the wearer a sense of personal attachment. Using these techniques allows me to take small pieces of history/time and translate them into visual moments for the viewer and myself.

I keep many of my items in stock, however, they are all made by me and therefore sometimes require a longer turn around time. For items in stock orders will ship within 3-5 business days after your order has been placed. For custom orders (ex, rings, size changes, etc)order will ship within 2-3 weeks.
All domestic orders ship USPS first class. All domestic orders over $200 ship USPS Priority Mail with insurance.
International orders ship USPS and vary by country.

Exchanges are available on rings and bracelets in order to correct fit.
