In 2006, my local college received a grant through Handmade In America for a Trade Apprenticeship program. I was one of the few lucky people chosen for an apprenticeship in Handmade Books. At the end of the intense summer program, I was awarded a Certificate of Artisan Trade Apprenticeship: Handmade Books. This was the perfect opportunity for me. Since childhood, I have had a sort of obsession with books and paper. The apprenticeship allowed my passion for paper and need for creating meld together into something wonderful.

My other passion (if you can have 2 passions) is Fiber Arts. I love to knit, crochet, and spin my own yarn. I’m currently using a drop spindle but hope to upgrade to a spinning wheel sometime soon.

I’m a proud member of the Bookbinding Etsy Street Team - B.E.S.T.
