Bio

I am a graduate of Grand Valley State University, with my major in Art & Design and an emphasis in metalsmithing/jewelry making.

Working in metal captivates me. The idea that I can take metal, a seemingly unmovable, solid and stable substance and manipulate it, with my own hands into another form thrills me.

Most of my metalwork references the natural realm by recreating organic textures and forms in my jewelry. I don't try to ignore the fact that the materials I use were once mined from the ground or grown in an oyster halfway around the world. I embrace the history of the material and use it as a starting point for my jewelry.
