Bio

I am a mother of two little ones living in rainy Ketchikan, Alaska. I've been sewing since I was 7 years old when my grandmother decided it was about time for me to learn. I currently design and create costumes, clothing, blankets, bags and crafts, but my heart is in the baby stuff.

I am passionate about attachment parenting, baby wearing, breastfeeding and developing good relationships with our children. I know first hand that all new parents in our media saturated society of isolated nuclear families need all the help and support that they can get. So, I lead a breastfeeding support group here in Ketchikan called MMM is for Milk, and I make good, strong, silk slings to sell as inexpensively as I can. Basically, I want to help preserve those precious relationships in whatever small way I can. I want to make a difference.
