Bio

I have been playing with rocks for about 5 years now and still have not grown bored with it.

I started with a few ounces of coober opal rough, a drill w/sanding attachment, silicon carbide sandpaper, tin oxide-charged leather and some dremel bits.

I was able to fashion a 8mm x 5mm shiny stone with some nice fire. I set it in a ring and gave it to my wife and she still wears it to this day.

After seeing that I could take a dull rock and put a beautiful shine on it, I was hooked.

So now my den has become a quarry. Even now as I type, I must do so over slabs, cabs and dop sticks. Boxes of boulders occupy the spaces beneath tables, backyard and car.

I have taken a few trips to Devil's Head and Wigwam up in the Rockies to swing a rock hammer.
If you ever get the chance to do the same, I highly suggest it =)
