Greetings, welcome to Glass Redefined!

My name is Kim Novak. I'm located in the beautiful State of Maryland, on the East Coast of the United States.

I have always loved combing beaches and shores for lovely gifts from the sea. As a child the shells and stones drew me. As an adult I have recently discovered and fallen in love with sea glass. The East Coast offers a variety of beautiful glass in shades of green, white, brown and sometimes rare blues or yellows. I do not purchase any of my glass, nor do I alter the pieces I find in anyway.(no grinding, buffing, cutting etc.) Each piece of glass is unique in color and size. I take great joy in searching our shores to aquire these special jewels from the sea.

After I "discover" the glass I "design" it by adding expressive designs in paint. (glass paint is oven-set for a permanant bond) I do not reproduce any design, each is photographed and cataloged for quality control. If you purchase a piece from me, you will have "a one of a kind" work of art.

So, I have "discovered" and "designed" the glass, I then "redefine" it by creatively wrapping each work in either Solid Sterling Silver or Quality 14k Gold Filled wire.

I also "redefine" hand blown glass pieces, purchased through various Artisans. (not mass produced)


Glass Redefined is a brand new business - just defined in April 2008. As a home based business, I have already filled a number of special orders locally,and look forward to meeting the needs of Etsy shoppers as well.

Art is my passion. In my free time I work in watercolor and acrylics. Its all about expression!
