Bio

There was a time when every woman, no matter her social status or breeding, saw dressing as an event: an occasion that called for glamour, but more importantly, self expression. Though individual articles may have not varied greatly on the whole, accessories provided the perfect vehicle for feminine distinction and personal style. The hat in its many forms is perhaps the most iconic of these accoutrements; it literally made a woman distinguishable within a crowd.

There is something quite magical about a purely frivolous fashion choice, particularly one that sets you apart from the pack. This mentality is exactly how the Ministry of Tiny Hats was born. After making miniature, over-the-top hats for practically every juncture of my life - my friends simply began to expect tiny hats as their birthday gifts - it seemed only fitting to share my vision with the world.

Drawing from a plethora of cheekily irreverent sources - namely '60s icons like Godard girl-about-town Anna Karina, vaudeville pomp and pageantry, and a sprinkling of Busby Berkley dreams - the Ministry of Tiny Hats certainly seeks to fill a niche market rather than a commercial one. Instead of heading down the highway, I prefer to walk the road less traveled. I can only hope you're along for the journey.

So hold onto your tiny hats, ladies, it's gonna be a bumpy ride!
