Bio

I was born and raised in Western North Dakota where, at an early age, I learned to hunt from my father and to sew and rummage for salvage materials from my mother. Having been forced to wear several unquestionably unhip hats by my father during our many outings in the chilly North Dakota winters I decided to restyle these hats not only for fashion but also for function and fun. While some of the fabrics are purchased new, I prefer to give new life to unwanted fabrics that are gathered from rummage and estate sales or thrift stores. Some of the fabrics are also sent all the way to Portland from my mothers fabric stash in North Dakota! I free-hand machine embroider the hat designs or use hand cut vinyl scraps.

When I'm not making hats special for you I build 19 foot tall coyotes, houses for prairie dogs and deer, little mountains, and fake walls.
