Bio

I'm an artist and stay-at-home mother, and I have a passion for all things creative. I'm a very emotive and right-brained person, and being artistic is a vital and important part of me. There is nothing more life-affirming than tapping into this to create pieces that I can share with others.

I do mostly representational work but I also enjoy abstract, expressionistic and surreal styles among other things. If you fancy something of a different style, feel free to ask me and I am sure I can accommodate you and work with you to make something that suits your preference.

I've taught art classes in various things under the painting and drawing umbrella: life drawing, encaustic and batik, charcoal, watercolor, multi-media, kid's art and portraiture.

As a mom, I spend a lot of time paying attention to my toddler and nurturing her. While this is extremely important to me, I recognize a need for balance. As an artist and person, I need ways to nurture myself. Creating these pieces has been a very satisfying way of expressing myself and, hopefully, making a bit of money to boot.

If none of my pieces sell, I have still enjoyed the process immensely. I think that my joy for the act of making art infuses these pieces with a kind of energy all its own.
