Bio

I studied textiles at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art Dundee, where I specialized in knitted textiles.After graduation I worked for a Scottish based Knitwear manufacturer, designing & producing knitwear for High street fashion stores.

I then moved on to become a Design Consultant & Freelance Designer for Rowan yarns where many of her designs can be seen in their past & present publications. I currently works as a mobile consultant for Rowan & tutor many knitting & crochet workshops throughout the UK offering hands on advice to knitters & crotchet folk through teaching & demonstrations.

I've been lucky to have had four books published Easy Crochet Accessories, Easy Beaded Crochet Accessories Funky Knits & Knitted Icons .I also have designs featured in many other knitting publications.


My inspiration for CMbeatknit designs comes from many places, but mainly from organic shapes and forms found in nature, plants, trees & flowers. I’m interested in the way shapes & colours interact with each other, how the right combinations can almost sing.

I design & produce a collection of hand crafted knitted & crochet textile accessories. This is my unique take on all things tactile & textile.
