I find it thrilling to despine books and reconstruct them into new, mutant books. Likewise, I take pleasure in ripping formless seems out of formless dresses and re-sewing them into shapely silhouettes.

I like to make things, but am far too selfish to part with them at this point. At the moment, I am working to my steady hands and increase my precision on my sewing machine. I hope to one day attempt wool spinning and dying, enamal, metal work and clothing design. For these things, I must also own an alpaca for inspiration. I deeply envy those of you who spend whole days in studios. That is what I want to be when I grow up.
