Bio

By day, I am a designer working in the Architectural Design field. I recently started my own design firm so I could work from home and spend more time with my daughter. The creative process has always been a large focus in my life. I always have some type of project going on, painting, sculpture, photography, costume design, clothing, handbags, jewelry etc.... Designing and making jewelry is a longtime love of mine but something that I gave up for a while while pursuing my "other" design career. Working for myself, I now have the time and energy to focus on jewelry once again. My love of organic materials led to my current venture in woodworking. I implement sustainable and natural practices in my architectural work therefore it is equally important that those same ideals be reflected in my jewelry. My focus is to work with materials that are reclaimed or sustainably harvested and certified through organizations such as the Forest Stewardship Council. I also use only natural and organice finishes in my work. I DO NOT use any chemical or petrol based finishes of any kind, with the exception of adhesives. All of my work is cut, shaped and finished by me in my home shop. I meticulously handcraft each piece, if a piece is not perfect - it is not sold. I hope to produce gorgeous and responsible pieces that others will enjoy as much as I do. My work reflects my architectural aesthetic that is simple, natural and timeless. Enjoy!
