Bio

My Etsy work combines aesthetics with recycling.
One day I was thinking of buying a tarp for our bicycles. I thought about getting an old billboard for that purpose, since I am frugal and I didn't want to spend money on buying a tarp. So, I phoned up a local sign company, and they had a couple they were wanting to get rid of. After I made the tarp, I realized that this billboard material had possibilities! I started experimenting with it, and my wallets are the happy result.

All my clothing pieces, unless otherwise noted, are from western culture’s discard pile. I am inspired by pieces from Preloved, Anthropologie, Stephanie Syjuco’s Anti-Factory, and Etsy’s label of hope. I enjoy the learning experience as I figure out how my favourite designs are constructed.
I am working towards my Certificate in Visual Design at the University of Calgary. I have 20 more hours to go before this is completed. I discovered my interest in art while obtaining my bachelor of science degree in geology at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. Cartooning my notes was a great way to memorize the material!
