Bio

My mother is my inspiration. My first memories are hanging the back of her chair as she made beautiful clothing for my brother and I. The first thing I ever designed and sewed on my own was a dress and bonnet for my 6 month old sister when I was eight years old. It was hand sewn and filled with pins. Naturally, it was far from perfect, but I never looked back. Around the same time my grandmother taught me to sew on her machine. I fell in love with the click-click of the needle piercing fabric, and the warm hum of the motor. Recently, after leaving my full time job, I’ve turned to my sewing machine for guidance.

My passions merge in my products. Food, colors, friends and handmade goods all inspire me. For example, I stumbled into the world of aprons when I started baking bread regularly. Once I started making them, the ideas started flowing. When cooking with my boyfriend’s toddler, I realized how much more special it could be for her if she had her own apron. When talking to my friend, the perfect hostess about my recent craftings, she mentioned how much she’s always wanted a hostess apron to match her kitchen.
