Bio

I take great pride in my craftmanship. I live and breathe my art. My wish is to create another world of mystery, magick, and beauty that I can share with others.

My influences are artists such as Amy Brown, Linda Ravenscroft, Kinuko Craft, and John Waterhouse, as well as beloved stories like "The Lord of the Rings" and the writings of Jane Austen. I long to live in a world where magick lives, faeries are real, and beauty and romance abounds. It is magick to me to see a figure from my enchanted world come to life from nothing more than scraps of cloth!

I spend many days researching a figure thoroughly before beginning a project. The concept comes first, an idea or a feeling I want to convey. The flex of a hand, the tilt of a head, the direction she is looking, all add to the mood and atmosphere of a piece.

Then comes the designing of her clothes. Decisions are made on basic color palette, so that eyes, hair and makeup can be decided. My favorite part comes next...choosing material for the attire! Patterns are then drafted for underthings, chemises, corsets, underskirts and overskirts, even shoes. The crowning touches are the little things...a bonnet or headdress, a staff, jewelry, perhaps some other prop.

My dolls are meant to be loved and to last for generations. Purchasing a figure for your own means stepping into my world of enchantment, and leaving the mundane behind.
