Bio

I grew up with parents the age of most of my friends grandparents. They actually started the family during the Great Depression of the 1930's. Thus during the 60's and 70's as I was growing up, I was surrounded by reminders of that time gone by not only by the stories of the hardships of those times but also by many of the household goods that had survived through the years. They really knew how to build things that lasted!

A lot of the items that I list are well loved "treasures" from that past. By the time I was old enough to move out and begin my adult life, my father had passed away and my mother was down-sizing to move into an apartment. Even back then I loved vintage! I cabbaged on to as much as I could!

Now I have a daughter that is wanting me to move 1700 miles to live near her and I must do some down-sizing myself!

To paraphrase an old song, I was vintage when vintage wasn't cool!
