I've got two little sugarbugs and I adore them both with all my heart.

My husband Mike is the other love of my life, together we make a pretty rockin' family.

Here are the top 3 gems of wisdom that I keep in the back of my head every day:

1. I'm in a stage of life where bodily functions are the main source of entertainment again (yeah that's right, you THINK you can never publicly laugh at a fart again after you've graduated 1st grade... wait til you have a baby!).

2. Never underestimate the importance of babywearing, long car rides, the annoying drone of the bathroom fan, or the "Grease" soundtrack when someone decides to engage in a full blown bout of infant colic (in case you don't know what "colic" is, I think it's german for "hell")

3. I'm no longer the most important person in my life, and I love it.

I can no longer claim both sides of the bed as my own, let alone either side on the nights when the crib just won't do... but I'd rather be stuck in the middle anyways.

I make ring slings for moms and dads in comfortable fabrics to keep your sugarbug cozy and awesome prints that reflect your personality!

A ring sling is an important tool for every parent, and I believe you should feel comfortable and confident while wearing it as an essential piece of your parenting wardrobe.

Fold it up and throw it in your diaper bag on the go - it's more convenient and space-friendly than a stroller, and a great way to connect and bond with your little sugarbug!

Each ring sling comes with illustrated instructions on how to thread and wear your sling. You can also find helpful videos on YouTube regarding how to wear a ring sling.

My goal is not to make a cheap sling, it is to make a quality sling. I try and make them affordable to the parent as my dream is to see everyone use a handcrafted baby carrier, rather than a factory made one. While the mass produced may sometimes be cheaper, you cannot guarantee that the item was made with love and YOUR sugarbug in mind.

SugarBug Slings is the product of needing an outlet for my bottled up creativity and desire to help other parents like myself. Being a stay at home mom, I wanted... no... needed to find a new hobby to keep me busy as I transitioned from full time retail manager to full time mommy. And how, you ask, do I have time for a hobby? One word for you:
naptime.
And why slings? Well, I used to make cupcakes, but I don't know another new mom who wants to put ON weight after baby is born. I DO, however, know quite a few moms, myself included, who have ten thousand things to do and no hands to do them with. So what better way to help out my fellow life-giver-in-need than to create something practical and fashionable, and did I mention practical? I originally stumbled across ring slings during a frantic trip to the baby store in search of something to calm my colicky son. I walked in and a light from heaven shone down on that lone ring sling they had in stock, and I knew that was the answer to our woes. I got home, put it on, fumbled around until I could figure out how to accomodate the sling to my son's needs, and then looked in the mirror. And there I was, cool, hip new mommy... in sage green and poop brown plaid. That was not going to fly. So I researched, took a trip to the fabric store, dusted off the sewing maching, trialed and errored until I found the most comfortable design I could, and voila! I had the most awesome ring sling ever. Happy baby, happy mommy. The rest is history.
