Bio

I like to make stuff. I believe in thrifting, improvising, recycling and making it up as you go along. I believe that creating connects people and makes life so much sweeter. One-of-a-kind is my favorite kind and handmade is where it’s at.

I am from a family of independent entrepreneurs and I am passionate about supporting local small business and other entrepreneurs. I have had a very “curvy” career path and sometimes I still don’t know what to be when I grow up. For now, I am an artist/crafter/entrepreneur and sell some things I make. I have a website at www.amyquarry.ca where you can find links to photos of my previous work and a link to my blog The Front Room.

Currently, I spend a lot of time sewing handbags and accessories, aprons, baby and toddler clothing, home accessories and some other random things as the spirit moves me. . I use re-purposed fabric and materials as much as I can, and each piece I make is completely unique as a result. I am inspired by vintage patterns, thrifted finds, my late Grandma Margie – master seamstress, old records, my girl Stella, books and being outside

I sincerely hope that what I put out into the world brings as much joy where it lands as it brings me to make it.
