Hi there! I'm Katie Smithington! I design steampunk stuff and do a lot of music related stuff (playing, sharing, learning, listening, making friends with random musicians, etc.)
Things I like... Well... Sitting at the desk with Dresden Dolls, Abney Park, Beats Antique, and Stolen Babies blasting through the speakers, stopping every now and then to see if people are asking questions about our SteamPunk Arts and Technical Society in Asheville, NC or if anything is new with my friends online. Writing here and there about whatever I feel like writing about and never finishing them. Reading Neil Gaiman, Poe, Lovecraft, H. G. Wells, Jules Verne, and- my favorite- A Series of Unfortunate Events. Watching Joss Whedon and Tim Burton created shows and movies. Helping Dr. Steel take over the world. Playing violin, concertina, doumbek, keyboard, and glockenspeil. Dressing up for Dragon*Con. Dressing up similarly year round. Bursting into song and dance. Drawing and painting. Weaving chainmaille.
