Bio

My is Päivi Eerola and I live in Espoo, Finland. My gift shop, Kukkilintu, is an interpretation of folk style and nostalgia. Kukkilintu combines the past with the present, trying to create something old with a new twist.

I lived my childhood in the nothern Karelia, surrounded by colors and ornaments. We made a lot by hand and I was taught to knit and sew by my mother and my sisters. We made traditional items like woolen socks and pillow cases with embroidery. These hobbies combined with my studies in engineering and industrial design have made me create Kukkilintu.
