"Just Felt Hungry" felt play food

About me:

I am a stay-at-home mom of one little boy. I started creating Felt Food for my 18 month-old son. But since he was still too young to play with it, I decided to offer it on Etsy. And then I made more ... and more ...

My goal is to make play food that can really be played with: I make it strong enough to be handled by little hands without tearing or coming apart (within reason). This is why I sew around all edges and often double or triple-layer the felt.

I also want my food to be educational: I try to offer original, exotic and colourful items which can teach children to eat and cook a healthy and varied diet. But I also sell a few pastries, cookies and rashers of bacon !

I am a member of EtsyKids, EtsyMom and of the Custom Boutique Design and Creations team.

I work at home, in a smoke-free environment. I do have a cat, but he stays away from felt and needles.

I take the greatest care in choosing quality materials and putting them together professionally. Every item is carefully stitched by hand, and filled with polyfil until it is nice and plump (if required!). ALL EDGES ARE STITCHED TOGETHER to ensure that no fraying or tearing occurs.

Taking care of your Felt Food:

Felt food should be kept in a dry place, in a bag if possible. It is best to play with it gently.

Because the felt I use is high-quality wool-blend felt for the most part, it cannot be machine washed or dried. It can be gently surfaced cleaned with a cold wet cloth. I recommend only using tape or a lint-removing roll to clean the surface free of lint or anything stuck to it.
