MoonbirdHillArts's Profile

Bio

Welcome! MOONBIRD HILL ARTS is a two-person enterprise. Linda and Christopher live in Houston and in Chappell Hill, Texas with their Golden Retriever, River, and their two cockatiels, Sunny and Skybaby. Many of our recent photos are taken at or in the near vicinity of our farmhouse in Chappell Hill. We are both drawn to nature, but also to old houses, architecture, roads, and landscapes. Both of us have been publishing photos for about a year in online literary magazines.

Linda is an art teacher, metalsmith, and ceramicist. She has been active in photography for many years and studied with photographer, George Krause. She has a degree in Fine arts and also studied at Penland School of Crafts and Arrowmont School of Crafts. One of Linda’s passions in photography is to photograph animals in a way that tries to capture their spirit or soul through a photo.

Christopher teaches creative writing to adults and is fairly new to photography. He has received residencies at The Ucross Foundation in Wyoming, and The Edward Albee Foundation in New York. Among his published works are a prose collection, UNDER A RIVERBED SKY, and a collection of stage monologues for actors, HEARTSPEAK.

We work together on some projects, at times photographing a site together, other times consulting and editing as a team.

We hope you enjoy our work. Should you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.
