RedCRanch's Profile

Bio

I have never been able to choose a favorite color, pet, place, food or anything else. So it is no surprise that I have never been able to limit myself to one hobby. I have dabbled in everything from fiber spinning and sewing to woodworking and model casting.

Though I have spent years developing some skills more than others, I often take aspects of many trades and incorporate them into one creation.

After 25 plus years of crafting, I have come to realize two things. I will never outgrow ADHD and I love every opportunity to be creative.

As children have always been my passion in life, many of my items are designed with children in mind. Not all. But most. Though it has been my experience that more often than not, adults love them as well. ;)

Update: 05/31/2009
I was able to raise enough money at local craft shows to begin construction on my work space/shop. However this means I have been selling exclusively at shows and have not listed any handmade items on Etsy since January. I am sorry for this. Hopefully once I get settled into my new workspace, I will have plenty of time to create items both for my Etsy shop and shows.

Until then. . .as I move into my new work shop, I have weeded through many of my instructional books and supplies. I’ll be listing those on here as I continue packing. I hope what I have learned from these books will help another artist pick up a few techniques and skills!

As always, the items listed in the pet section of my shop are made and sold to raise money for our local no-kill animal shelters. All profits are used for the Kitty Comforter program that is run by my son. All profits are used to buy cleaning supplies, office supplies, food, litter and other essentials items the animal shelters desperately need to care for homeless animals. Also, my son makes many items for the animals at the shelters. Items like toys and crate comforters. These items help the animals avoid becoming antisocial. This insures their chances of being adopted.
