Bio

I am an emerging jewelry designer, mother of two and wife to a wonderful man, all of whom have encouraged me to persue my dreams of creating a line of Special Occaison and Wedding Jewelry and accessories. I started off in Floral Design with my mother and father's Business in Chapel Hill NC, from there under the tutilage of my father Tracy Hackney an award winning designer, I developed my skills in floral design for special occaisions and weddings, hair pieces, bouquets, and extravagant center pieces, as well as event planning. I have a background in graphic and commercial design, pen and ink, sculpture and painting as well. My Grandmother was part American Indian and attempted to show me the art of beading when I was too young to truly appreciate the gift that she was trying to pass on to me, but the spark of creativity stuck and for that I am ever grateful.

Jewelry is my connection to creative expression, to me it is an outward expression of your inner perspective and aestetic. Jewelry can speak volumes about who you are with out your saying a word, it can present your sence of style, project an air of confindence, and speak to your eye for detail. Jewelry is universal, found in various forms in every culture from every corner of the world from the begining of time, I am sure even the cave men gave thier loved ones tokens strung on twine.
