Hello! Welcome to my boutique, Silly Owl by the Sea!

My name is Janel and I am currently a stay at home momma to a toddler son, and am expecting my second son in mid-August 2008. It was the birth of my first son, and the transition from working girl to stay-at-home mommy that allowed my creativity to blossom and grow. I absolutely love handmade items and personalized creativities!

I create many different things: I sew baby goods and kid items under my label ♥Elizabeth Austin Baby♥ named after my mom and first son, and I also create computer graphics, which I use in many ways...

♥ my pink ribbon graphic line is called "Little Pink Owl"

♥ my children's and fun graphics line is called "Little Owl Graphics"

My pink ribbon graphics are created in honor of my mom's breast cancer battle. My mom has definitely been a HUGE inspiration for me and has encouraged me for many many years to look into design work. She saw it in me and is the reason I can do what I do! I come from a big family and my mom used to sew almost all of my older 3 sister's clothing when they were kids and she sometimes helps me with my sewing- she's definitely the expert!

I love designing and creating things- it's the best feeling...whether it's computer graphic work, or sewing handmade goods...it's so much FUN! :)
