Bio

Heather Williams is a mixed-media artist working in the areas of painting, drawing, photography and jewelry. She is currently in her final year of a four year Visual Arts program majoring in photography. She became interested in jewelry and started designing and producing custom pieces during her first year. In 2008 Heather created her current company EARTHVISIBLE to expand her creativity within the area of jewelry art.

Her inspiration has come from techniques, colours, formal qualities and themes she incorporates into her other fine artwork. She experiments with acrylic plastic, metals, and an array of new and vintage findings and chains while combining semi-precious stones creating a forged contrast between the artificial man-made materials and shapes vs. the earth’s ability to create beautiful organic materials. Every stone has a natural energy affecting the wearer beyond the physical.

Heather is interested in the collaboration between science and nature and invetigates this theme in her designs.

By integrating these different mediums and concepts Heather has created wearable art that is unique and truly one of a kind.
