I'm a narrative artist. I make books, ( I am a book-artist) I draw cartoons and print prints. I am also a ceramic artist (I make clay sculptures) and I am a potter.

My hand bound books have been personally tested in the field since 1995.

I also keep a Picasa picture gallery of my books you can see some examples of cover choices for books: some are basic cover stock paper, painted with acrylic, while other examples are of my colorful cartoon covers, that I printed and are available for custom book orders.

I'm new to Etsy -- the discovery of a community where the functional art I've made over the years with compulsive fervor mixed with thought-out care -- can maybe someday, find itself in the hands of someone who understands that things that look and feel machine made "perfect" are NOT better! That there is a grander ideal of quality -- as in the quality Richard Pirsig was searching for (to site one recent example) i.e. "The crisis as arising in large part from the technological fragmentation of nature and man"..

Not that my books and other art made solve this fragmentation of the individual, sterilization of ideas and hard edges of the machine's mark, but that ALL handmade goods, and food, and music, and people -- creating culture together -- just might.

P.s; I've happily signed the Buy Handmade Pledge. I'm a total Scrudge about being a consumer. Malls give me an anxiety attack and make me sneeze :-( -- I'm totally looking forward to doing a lot my "hole A daze" shopping here.
