SilverleafShinyStuff's Profile

Bio

I have the brain of a scientist, but the heart of an artist! I've loved making things since I was a kid, but have only recently started to let my creativity flow again. Trouble is, I keep being inspired to try new crafts and have to stop myself before I start, otherwise I'd never have enough time to work on any one properly!

I'm currently making jewellery, mostly using my own hand-made polymer clay beads but I also love glass seed and bugle beads as well. And I'm really enjoying wire work.

I've been knitting for a long time but lack the patience and attention span (and if I'm honest, the manual stamina) to knit big things like sweaters - little animals are perfect for me. I like to work on creating new designs.

I mostly draw inspiration from the natural world - I'm a birdwatcher and naturalist, and living right next to the Peak District (the UK's first National Park) I'm never far away from something beautiful.
